[ANSWERED] How do I upgrade from HitFilm 4 to HitFilm 2017
I was having problems starting projects in 4k resolution. In the project tab I was limited to 1920 by 1080 or bellow. I looked around the forum here and read that I need HitFilm 2017 (version 5.x) to export 4k video. I logged in to my account and looks like I currently have version 4.0.5723.10801 installed. I followed the link (https://hitfilm.com/express) to download HitFilm 2017, but whenever I click on GET FOR FREE it just redirects me to https://hitfilm.com/express in an infinite loop of suffering.
Am I doing something wrong or do I have to do something before being able to download the latest version?
I run Windows 7 on Intel i7 6700k 4.2Ghz with GeForce GTX 1080 configured in two way SLI, all on my 4k monitor.

Ok, so I was able to find this link to upgrade to HitFilm 2017:

*EDIT*
Ok, so to piggy-back on the response from the moderator below. Here is how to go from version 4 to version 5.
-You wanna uninstall HitFilm 4 before installing HitFilm 2017
-Go to https://hitfilm.com/express
-Click on LETS DO THIS
-Click on GET HITFILM EXPRESS FREE on the bottom of the browser window.
-Follow the install link
-Claim serial number
-[REDACTED]
-Profit
-Actually don't profit, you're not supposed to with the free version.
Hitfilm 2017 isn't an update to Hitfilm 4, it's an entirely new program the second download link you've listed won't help that much--you haven't properly created a Hitfilm 2017 license.
Keep HitFilm 4 on your PC in case you get slow sluggish results with 2017. Then wait till you upgrade your PC before using 2017.
All the best.
