how to download video tutorials
Is there a way I can download the tutorials. I try to watch them on youtube then pause them then run hitfilm to try them, but then I forget how to do it, if I had them on dvd I could watch and do at the same time.

You can use this program. It exists for both Windows and Mac, and better... it's for free:

Also, depending on your browser, you might have youtube download add-ons available. There are dozens for Firefox.
For Android devices, there's Tubemate, which I actually prefer to any of the Youtube downloaders I've ever used for Windows. One advantage (for me) about downloading to phone or tablet is I can set up the mobile device next to my PC. Then I don't switch between screens on my computer to swap from tutorial to Hitfilm.

I use SSyoutube just put the SS in the full youtube link just before the word youtube, it will send you to a download page, you DONT need to install the downloader but note you may only be able to download at a reduced quality.

@Kevinthefilmaker My win10 version of Youtube downloader seems to have died I thought maybe Youtube had done something to block it.

@Andy001z Youtube did change it's codebase a few months ago. Depending on the age of your downloader you might need to update or replace it.
One nice thing about the TubeMate downloader is it's changlog has helpful notes like updating BECAUSE of YouTube changes, so i know when it's something at YouTube's end....

Aside from the many ways listed above...I highly recommend getting a second monitor so you set up dual screen. It will make your life so much easier when following tutorials.

Try youdown.tv it does not requires you to install any program with adware it is a web service that just helps you download files or music files, that vidio is the camera shake tutorial

@Mark77 that's a handy link, seems to work ok, as long as you use it in Chrome, IE11 seems to not allow the download button to work for me.

a new app just released : Vadle, it's free and easy! (only Mac OS)

Does any of the apps you guys mentioned support multiple downloads and converting at a time?
If not then I won't switch, too convenient, don't even have to paste the link in the app.

@KevintheFilmaker the YouTube downloer I use in Firefox supports multiple downloads, as does the Android one I use.

You can use a video downloader to help you download video online. What i used is called AllMyTube which allows me to download video via copying and pasting the URL directly. Also it supports recording video with no quality loss.
