I was just curious in what instance might you use the Color Difference Key over the Chroma Key effect.
You only have Color Difference in Express, so that would be one instance. Chroma Key is in Pro and able to deal with more complicated (i.e less uniformly lit) backgrounds.
Long techie story short: they are mathematically different processes. Color Difference keys keeps pixels based on how unlike the target color they are. Chroma Key discards pixels based on how like the target color they are.
In practice the Chroma Keyer is far more advanced and powerful. The color difference here is probably most useful against computer-generated imagery, like, for example, green screen footage downloaded from YouTube.
