Okay thanks!
But, what do you mean by power supply? Sorry if I am being rather stupid!

He means the power supply within your PC's case. Modern day graphics cards are a bit power hungry & require larger power supplies than they did a few years back.

Huh- I just got a new $800 Dell Inspiron 4 months ago and I can't run HitFilm either. Not even with a core i5 intel processor. I can't deny I'm a little disappointed- mostly because I don't know what the heck you guys are talking about regarding graphics cards and such. Guess I've got some learning to do. I probably should have tried the demo before ordering HitFilm Ultimate.

Do you know what graphics card you have, StormyKnight? This FAQ article has information on how to find out:

What, in a graphics card, will make HitFilm most responsive? Is it better to have more streaming processors, faster clock speed or memory (1GB vs 2GB). What is going to give me the fastest, fluidest performance on my i7, quad core Windows Box? Is NVidia better than an ATI card. I ususally work on Macs and NVidia is the card for Adobe's Mercury Playback Engine. I was thinking of an NVidia GTX 550 or 560 with 2 GB RAM and 336 processor cores, running at 710/1420 MHz.

Those cards should both work very nicely, Jason. I have a similar card in my work machine and it handles the 3D stuff with aplomb.
