Hello medic-mark
Can you give me a screen capture or an example of what you are trying to achieve? maybe I can help..! -
Hi Abidal, I am looking for the news ticker at the bottom of the screen and also the fade in/ out type effects like those on sky news.
as you can tell I am pretty new to this so its probably really easy to do, any help would be gratefully received . Mark. -
You might try this.

thanks for that Tigrestripe, will give this a try. I have tried after effects but its way to confusing and to be honest just want something which is easy to do and gives a really good professional effect.

+1 for Blufftitler. I've been using it for years and it's perfect for quickly and easily creating things like news tickers, complex text effects. Not to mention, it also does a lot of other really nice non-text effects very easily as well, including plasma and particle based ones, "destruction" type effects to twist, tear and explode images and video objects, and works within a 3D environment with cameras, etc. They also have a lot of templates available to create those kinds of news text effects as well, at: http://www.outerspace-software.com/bixpack/
Aside from the plasma based effects, you can achieve much of this already right within Hitfilm; however, for my own personal workflow I find it very fast and easy to let BT handle the more complex text-based needs, then export it and bring it into Hitfilm to take it from there.
(and no, I don't work for Blufftitler...) )
Here's an example of a music release teaser I did entirely within Blufftitler a while ago (and before I started using Hitfilm as well). It was fairly simple to create the complexjumbling/spinning text and fog effects in the background, as well as the "reverse explosion" for the album cover artwork that flies together towards the end:

Another (much) longer one also almost entirely in Blufftitler, though without any real text effects, to show the other kinds of things it can easily do such as the searchlight effects, particle fountains, stars and ascending light-bursts towards the end, etc (it's an ambient track, so yeah: it's long and drone-y):

I have After Effects, and by no means am I good at what you are asking for, but for me, time is money, so I normally end up purchasing templates like these.
Easily customizable and looks great. -
I worked a little bit with Hitfilm and created this for you not sure if this what you are looking for or not.
Here is a full frame sample and screen capture:
I'll post a video sample after it finish processing. -
Hi guys, many thanks for your expertise and help, I have started using blufftitler after recommendations from some of you, I love the ease of the interface, its a little pain in converting files from avi to mpeg for using in fx home2 but hey I can do what I need. That said I welcome your instruction on trying to emulate these effects in FX. Thank You.

Abidal may be busy so I'll post up his awesome template for him. You won't get any better than this for a news ticket template:

You gave to scroll down the button in the middle of the page that says download. It takes directly to his Google drive and all the presets.
By the way both links are up a few comments from your post in the other thread as well. Hope this helps. And also, chances are that an old preset for Pro only may now work with the latest Express as some effects have changed over time.
