hitfilm 2 stops responding while doing basic video editing
i have been editing very basic video timelines and while replaying the timeline it would seize to respond and crash instantly
before you ask my computer is definitely well above the recommended minimum operating requirements
also it only happens in the editing time line not with in the composite shots

I now you have stated that it meets the requirements, but the details will help us diagnose the issue, and also enable us to give you links to ensure you have the latest drivers installed.
What format is your footage in? What video codec does it use, and what are the audio specs? -

4.6gh PROCESSOR
1gb Radeon graphics card

THE codec is AVC h.264
amd fx 4100 quad core
AMD radeon hd 7800 -
exact same thing with me and my specs are relatively the same as Ruairi. Thanks for your support\

What anti-virus software are you guys using?

Having the same problem - playing through the timeline then Hitfilm stops responding...
GPU: MSI Geforce GTX 770 4GB edition
CPU: AMD FX 1170 4.2GHz quad core
RAM: 12GB
Anti-virus: Windows Defender
Usually editing MP4 files

I am having the same issue, it will work normal for some time and then suddenly freeze.
GPU: Gigabyte GTX770 4 GB.
CPU: AMD 8350 8 Core
RAM: 32 GB
Antivirus: Total Defense (Turned off during editing)
Quicktime: 7.7.5
MP4 and MOV files -
aaaaaand it's been unresolved for 2 years, good job guys
