Freeze opening projects with 3D models

I have a project that I'm working on and I downloaded some 3D models, now when ever I bring up the project my computer freezes up and I can't do anything. how do I fix that?

Sorry you are having troubles. What model is your graphics card? What's your CPU? How much RAM does your system have? What format is the 3D model, and where did it come from?
