Apparently, you take a boat instead... 🤣 🤣 🤣

Haha, yeah does look at bit like that, but I was going for a look they used to do here on the English coast during the time of the Wreakers. They would like a beacon to make ships think it was safe passage but really the rocks would get them.
-
@KirstieT not sure if anyone as tried Flowscape with VR, I think it can work. But yeah it is great and quick for knocking out environments. Certainly one of my favourite bits of create software in the past few years, with exception to Hitfilm of course ;)
-
Here is a little flowscape animation that is edited in Hitfilm and the music is one from the new Pro Sub pack.
-
Nice reveal shot there..
-
I did a little bit of VFX on an image for my brother-in-laws kids. They visited the Ghostbuster tower but I thought, I could add some VFX spice to the images. Below are the four images that are combined in Hitfilm.
and
final image
and yes they now know how to hold a particle acceleration proton pack correctly.

Something new coming real soon!!!!
-
Flowscape and Hitfilm Pro grade.

@Andy001z Very timely, Andy. There was just a beautiful scene of a dragon flying under the clouds causing a wake of turbulence and coming up above like a shark in the episode last night of House of the Dragon. You clouds are a perfect match. Good job!
-
@Andy001z is that the view distance for flowscape?.. I tried this on steam, but i didn't know you can go that far!.. That's epic!
-
@tddavis that's cool, haven't seen it. Still got the last series of the old one to watch.
-
It's all about using scale to make it look a big world. But it's pretty big.
-
Awesome... I just re installed it. You will have to show me a tutorial
-
So after following a few steps from the Blender Guru donut (or Doughnut as its known here in the uk). This is my first doughnut + Hitfilm compositing.
-
Coolbeans, now all ya need is Homer peeking over the edge at it. ;)
-
Arrhhhh Doughnut..........
-
One day I'll have to follow the donut tutorial
-
It isn't that bad, I was surprised at how quick you can get through it. This is about a couple of evenings work. About 3hrs maybe total.
-
I only made up to the icing step...😂
-
Nice render! I tired to follow the same tutorial once, but like Terry, I only got as far as the icing. All good info though.
@Andy001z I assume this is the tutorial you followed?
-
BTW I stumbled onto this tutorial that looks like it might be promising and maybe quicker to get through for inpatient people like me. With the winter months coming I need to knuckle down and learn this thing. It's so different from Lightwave that it makes my head hurt every time I try to use it, but it has almost become the industry standard now and well worth knowing.

Premier 31/10/2022 06:30 GMT

@Andy001z Is this premiering in 6 hours? Not sure the exact time difference right now. I think it's 6 hours... Right now it's showing as private??

Nice attempt in blender, maybe add more camera angles, the freedom of adding more camera angles with the same camera is amazing, utilize it. One long shot of the pumkin was getting a bit long. I'd hate to use the word boring.
The radial blur effect was okay to a point too. Keep adding more shots of the pumpin, you can render in transparent mode of a 3d object too as an png alpha sequence, works better than a black matte. or a png alpha single image.
The song was cool though.. Nice!
-
Your right of course, but the hole thing was it was a very quick and dirty or together. I would of stopped it short but the music was cool and wanted to let others enjoy. Plus more renders takes time in my creaking PC.
-
Yes, the music is awesome. I had to scroll down to see where it came from in the description. 😀 Good choice.
-
try using evee, instead of cycles for rendering, small things like that is good in evee too. If you have a potato machine, you can still use png sequence rendering and then import it to hitfilm to composite, as a transparent alpha and in blender turn off the background. Works like a charm!. Or try using GPU rendering instead of CPU rendering. I've been a bit quiet here too learning blender and i'm loving it!
-
All good points, and I have managed to get my render down in time, the problem was I only had about an hour to bang the whole thing out from start to finish. So it was a bit of a rush. Ill take a look at an Evee render (they are cool) and see how that looks in the end comp.

@iamkhanproductions an update, what u think?
