When I try to open the editor, a message pops up that says, "The timeline cache could not be initialized. Database disk image is malformed."

What do I do to fix it?

I have the latest version of HitFilm Express and I have Windows 10.

    nevermind! i figured it out!

if anyone else is having this problem on Windows, follow these steps:

Press the Windows button on the keyboard and type:

C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Local\FXHOME\HitFilm Express (make sure to replace "YourUsername" with your PC username)

Make sure all instances of HitFilm Express (including the error message) are closed.

Right click on the Media file and delete it.

    Reopen HitFilm Express

It may take some time for the media folder to delete, but this is what worked for me.
