Weird question about a glow outline in Hitfilm

How would I make it so an effect like a glowing outline kinda gains in transparency at certain moments? It's hard to describe what I mean since I can't find an example on it online, but, what I mean by this is. Imagine there's a constant moving glow outline around an object, and there's music playing in the background. Every time there's a repeating beat the glow pulsates and gets brighter. Would this be possible? Ill reply with an example if I can find it, but basically the glowing outline pulsates with music.

There might be a way to do this quicker but without testing, the only way would be to manually key frame the relevant effects to alter the glow on the sound of a beat. Say you could alter strength of the glow on a best to rise and fall.

@Andy001z it would be possible to automate something like this with Atomic Particles. That's the only possible option. And it might not be the exact look the OP wants, but Atomic can alter transparency on a layer from audio input.
