I was wondering if it was possible to speed up a video without changing its pitch? The Speed effect doesnt seem to work on audio and the Speed/Duration setting shifts the pitch according to the speed
Not sure, but I think it might still be this nonsense.
The methods listed there, -on paper- should work. However it seems that Hitfilm's pitch effect loses some audio quality when you increase/decrease the semitone. This becomes more clear when you first apply a lower pitch into a composite shot and speed up that same composite shot in the editor
It's embarrassing for HF when it seems that most other editors (even some free ones!) handle this sort of thing (pitch shift) in a better/easier way. Audio features of HF are sorely lacking.
Indeed! I'm actually convinced that audio for HitFilm isnt even complete yet
Audio is certainly Hitfilm's weakest point.
