Tracking issue

Hi guys,
I am trying to track something that I imagined very easy and straight forward: a round shape with a black dot in the center, stop motion video so no blurring.
Here is what happens:
Settings:
Isn't the search box big enough?
Thanks!

Hi @mrmuzzi, try making your initial box (the smaller one) a bit bigger

Hi, I did it already and it stops even earlier!

Here is the image sequence, hopefully someone will make it work!
I had to do the whole tracking by hand 😥

@mrmuzzi Yeah, there is something about the image sequence that makes the track fail. Thanks for posting the file. My guess is there is too much overlap with the biscuit or whatever it is at the bottom of the screen and/or the target is just moving too fast.
I tried it myself and couldn't get a good track either. However, I was able to create tracking data by adding a new point to a composite shot that had the footage and then creating keyframes for the point to follow the path of the target.
It only took me a few minutes since I didn't have to set a keyframe where there were long runs of the target when it went in a straight line. Attached is the test file with the point following the target. You'll need to combine that with your image sequence.
[EDIT] Here is a screen grab of what I wound up with. Once you have the Position data for the point you can right click on it and past it onto another layer to transfer the motion data.

Try Template Match. It works.
It's not very accurate and needs to be touched up, but that's an inexplicable problem for me with Hitfilm's tracking. I've had several times where Hitfilm can't track a contrasting object on a uniform background. The tracker jumps over a blank area for no reason.
