Hello I have "fuzzy" footage

what camera setting should I change to fix this so it does not happen again
I have a Nikon 5600 if that helps

@Cloud_Toast I cannot be 100%, but to me it looks like a low light situation. You might try adding more light and filmig it the same way to see if there is an appreciable increase in clarity.

As @tddavis mentioned, it is very likely noise due to insufficient light. The video quality from the D5600 is quite good but if you are using the kit lens it is a little "slow" for poorly lit scenes. If you set the camera to shoot at 24p and set the shutter to 1/48 or 1/50, it will allow for more light to hit the sensor. A faster lens and more lights would be other options. Hitfilm Pro has an excellent video noise reduction effect that can salvage clips with this issue.

One more thing, on the 5600 you have to go to "Shooting Menu" and select "Movie settings" and turn manual movie settings to "on". If you don't do this the camera will ignore your choices and shoot everything in automatic. In your clip the ISO is obviously quite high which is why you see the noise.
