Having a go at Zach's tutorial - will also now work on erasing double/triple chin...... :)
Sergio Leone Spaghetti western - it's long, be patient!
Mandalorian Fan movie I made with my sons.
We had great fun making it :)
That was very enjoyable!
Loved the opening shot to establish the location. Perfect scenery for the video. Great job on the beasts comping them in. A fun time.
@tddavis Thanks! It's a fab location - my sister's farm :)
I am sure that location provides all kinds of opportunities. What an awesome place to film!
@FilmSensei - totally!
I don't know if it's breaking the forum rules by pluggin it, but my sister rents out cottages on the farm - awesome place to film and to stay!
Only the small matter of making your way to County Leitrim, Ireland!
We filmed a western there last summer, a Sergio Leone tribute, it was awesome!
@cianoh I will keep that in mind if I'm ever able to go to Ireland! 😁
Ah, a trip that far is only in my dreams these days... Scotland was a lifetime ago in '89, but I have since found ancient ancestors going back to the 1600s in County Antrim, a place called Ballynacree that would be so interesting to look into.
That was awesome! Need a part 2!!!!
@tddavis - maybe one day - International travel feels like a different world these days!
@Georgefilm - thanks, glad you enjoyed it! I'd love to do a part 2 but I've got some very temperamental actors to persuade!!!
Excellent work @cianoh! That was awesome! Would you be happy for us to share your Fan Film in the FXhome Community Newsletter? - Hannah
@hannahodebode Absolutely!!! That's a huge compliment, thanks!!!!
Will be posting my Sergio Leone Spaghetti western soon :)
That was great, but I noticed that the gun was missing from your belt when you were backing off from each other. I love the golden hour shots... great cinematography! Did you shoot this at your sister's farm? What a location!
@FilmSensei - thanks!
If that’s the only bit you noticed I’m pretty happy. We did an old switcheroo halfway through, started out with toy pistols and rifle, then managed to get our hands on some replicas, so all kinds of continuity issues there!
Yup, we were back at the old farm - it’s awesome!
Both of those are really cool short films! I especially enjoyed the western! The locations are amazing, and I definitely recognize the style (I am also a fan of Sergio Leone’s westerns and Ennio Morricone’s music), specifically the final sequence. Really enjoyable and well done I think!
I have actually also been working on a western inspired by Sergio Leone’s westerns and Ennio Morricone’s music! I have been working on it for about eight month now, and have finally finished it, so I thought it was a really cool coincidence to see your film when I wanted to put mine up on this forum today :-)
@lukasandersen - Thanks, yours is awesome - huge amount of work in it, well done! I'm relying completely on location, I wouldn't be able to do any of that blender virtual 3d set stuff - Bravo!
@cianoh Thank you very much! 🙂
I know Kung Fu....
