Missing basic plugins/effects
Hi, recently I had a problem where I wasn't able to find basic effects that I was going to use in my project. I tried re-installing hitfilm but they are still gone. I remember that I had them long ago when I started using hitfilm but now they vanished. Does anyone know what can I do to fix this?

@Wyry123 as per my reply on the subreddit, please show us your effects panel to see what's missing.
Are you reinstalling, or completely uninstalling HF first?
-
At least here I can add the images (Presets -> 2D effects and film looks are empty, )
-
I was 1st uninstalling
-
@Wyry123I It looks like it's not loading the 2d effects, only the 3d effects. Could you tell me if the effect menu at the top is also missing these effects?
-
well looks like it. The only thing that shows up is this.
-
@Wyry123 definitely isn't a widget thing then. Could you go to C:\Program Files\FXHOME\HitFilm Pro\Plugins and tell me what you see there? Is the 2D folder present?
-
Yep, It's there
-
full of effects and shake.hfpl that I wanted to use today

@Wyry123 could you try running HF with the console command to see if you get any output error. You can do this like so:
- create a shortcut for HitFilm, add it to your desktop.
- Right click the shortcut, go to properties->shortcut->target, and add "console" to the end, so it says something like
- "C:\Program Files\FXHOME\HitFilm Pro\HitFilmPro.exe" console
- Then launch via shortcut.
-
ok give me a minute
-
wth all the plugins are there now out of a sudden

@Wyry123 is it all working now suddenly?
-
-
Wait, when I try to launch Hitfilm again without the console it's still broken. It only works with the console
-
For some reason
-
I will be stuck with that console for a while I guess
-
@Wyry123 having the console present should not change anything. Could you make sure that when you're opening the program without the shortcut that you are opening the same exe? What happens if you run the shortcut without the console command?
-
I'm still opening the same .exe The only thing changed was the console
-
Ok, Thank you for your support!
