Composite Shot - Changes Frame/Location in Video Clip

If I put a piece of a video on the timeline and then make it a composite shot.
It changes the video to the beginning.
No matter which options I choose.
Selected Clip - Editor Sequence
Leave Here - Move with Clip
Any combination ends in the same way. It reverts the video piece to the beginning.
This didn't use to happen. What am I doing wrong?

I have the same problem, this is a huge bug and i cannot possibly understand how it wasnt fixed since years!
