I can't import MP4 files

Alright, so I downloaded some mp4 files on my phone which LG. I connected it with my computer, and after that, I imported the mp4 file into hitfilm express 12. But it said "The media file is not supported" Please help me! I installed quicktime, but also my laptop is a windows 10.

@Michalus1 please create a new thread. This one never got any attention and was about a really generic problem. If you're having difficulty importing mp4 it could be countless things. When you make a new thread please provide your system specs.
