transform/ effect synced with audio

is there any way I could link the transformation of a layer or the variables of an effect like shake ammount to the volume of an audio track? Say if I wanted a layer to shake or grow when the audio is louder would just have to manually key frame in the changes?

@Joevahkiin At this point, HitFilm does not let you link properties directly. With the exception of what can be done with Behaviors, and perhaps some limited trickery involving tracking, all property changes must be keyframed.
