Cryptocurrency mining
Anyone else mining cryptocurrency on their graphics card(s)? I'm a baller on a budget so I only upgraded to a GTX 970 (previously 950) but I'm hoping it pays for itself by mining during its downtime (which is most of the time since I haven't had much time recently for video editing which is just a hobby). The easiest way is probably Nicehash but I'm mining something called Ravencoin and hoping it gains traction. It's an absolute minefield out there, though for anyone unfamiliar with the space. If you do start mining a cryptocurrency, remember to make multiple back ups of your wallet's "private keys" so you can recreate you wallet if you lose it or its password.

Remember.... deduct the cost of electricity with the crypto-earning.... the result is poor
It covers the cost of electricity. I never said it would make you a millionaire or you could quit your job but I bought my GPU second-hand and it's paying for itself.
