Screen Record

Hello all! I have one question that has been bugging me. I can't figure out how to do screen record. It seems like there has to be a simple, free, and easy to use program that will record your screen, but to the extent of my knowledge, there isn't! Please help everybody and tell me what you use to do screen record! Greatly appreciated,

Try this. Does video capture and snapshots of full or part of a screen.

I can recommend OBS

+1 OBS Studio.

If you have an Nvidia GOU of the 700-series and up, you already have Shadowplay, which is a screen recorder. AMD has a screen recorder with recent cards.
OBS has a good reputation. I use BB Flashback, myself.

if you have windows 10 use the windows key + G to open the game bar control to record your screen

OBS has some items going for it.
Constant frame rate recording. Good for import into all editors. AVC encoding settings ability for lower decode overhead files. Very helpful for Hitfilm and helpful for other editors. OBS can also use the hardware encoder on the GPU if your GPU has one. Generally smoother recording of compute intensive things like games. If capturing tutorials this is not an issue.
