Is a hitfilm installation hardware specific or can it be migrated, like most programs, to a new computer hardware using a utility for transfering Windows programs?

    The activation is hardware specific, so you will need to reactivate on the new machine, but you can reinstall the software as many times as you like, and the installer and your serial are permanently stored in your account, for easy access: http://hitfilm.com/account/software

    Shouldn't be a problem. The HitFilm activations you have are hardware-bound, but you can deactivate any activation on any machine at any time through the website, and use that activation on another computer to activate HitFilm there again.
