Export to a Quicktime codec

While watching StephansBilderweit's excellent tutorial on creating a freeze frame I noticed that he was able to export to a QuickTime codec  (11:30).    I noticed that he is using an Apple.  Is this ability limited to apple users.  On my Windows 8.1 machine Asus i7, 16 gb, 750TI, I do not have an option for exporting to  a quicktime  codec.

Thanks,

Bob

Correct, Hitfilm export to QuickTime is Apple only. I assume this is because QuickTime on Windows is basically crippled, and still limited to 32-bit adressing, but perhaps staff can clarify.
