when I try to export I keep getting the error message "failed to push frame 6". How can I correct this?
I would recommend opening a support ticket for this ( https://hitfilm.com/questions ). It's been mentioned in other threads, but I haven't seen a fix or response from staff.
Might also be helpful to know your system specs--CPU, GPU, OS, RAM--and what's in the project.
I have gotten that error before, and have always gotten rid of it by simplifying my project (usually by reducing particle count in a complex system.) I believe that error is caused by exceeding your GPU's RAM or capabilities. When editing, by default Anti-aliasing is disabled in the preview window. During render, suddenly you add a lot more overhead, which can push your GPU over it's limit.
I had the same issue last night when trying to export a video.
Simply restarting my computer appeared to do the trick and haven't had it since.
It's probably not the best/correct solution but it certainly worked.
Sounds like the same problem I reported in this thread http://hitfilm.com/forum/discussion/6249/export-error-failed-to-push-frame-42
