I was super bored today so I decided to make my account foto. Turns out that it can only be 200kb or less!!! Does anyone kno of a free file compressor of some sort that I could possibly find? If not then here's what my foto would've looked like (All of the effects were made in Vision Lab pro (Mostly because I have nothing else)).

I'd also note that we only ever display avatars square, and that the maximum size we display them at is 280 x 280 pixels, on the profile page.

If the avatar photo you want to use is a compatible format with the software i.e. jpeg, tiff etc. then you should be able to resize it.
Also you can try one or more of these:

This one is an online version- I don't know if they store their own copy of photos or not but if you don't care...

Cnet (or download.com) is totally safe and is good for these kinds of things too- but...they have some trial versions mixed in with the free so make sure you're getting the free software or you may only have a limited number of times to use the software or you may end up with their watermark on your photo.

Thanks for the info guys! Oh, and btw... What do you think of my pic?
Is it promising (being made from Vision Lab)?
Please feel free to give feedback on that as well :P -
Hey!! Thanks D.G.W for the advice! I tried that as soon as I could and it worked!!!
The particle effect used in the picture is hopefully going to be used in my "shorty" I happen to be creating
