Hi, I would appreciate some suggestions or tips on how to make the liquid metal effect like the terminator 2 movie in hitfilm 3 pro, I am 14 years of age and have had a lot of experience with Hitfilm. Thankyou
Are you just doing a transition from metal to human, or do you need morphing? Morphing is an issue since Hitfilm doesn't have a morph effect. On the other hand, if you just need a metallic actor--well, let me think about it.
Free morph app: downloads.tomsguide.com/magic-morph,0301-6817.html
Another free morph app from the creator of the excellent VirtualDub: www.debugmode.com/winmorph/
thank you so much for responding to my question, I am looking for an effect were I turn from human to liquid metal. I will give those applications a try though, thank you so much again.
Have you looked at the Chromanator effect in Hitfilm?
I'm not sure if this link to Flickr is working. If not, I'll try something else!
Ha! Obviously not...
Anyway, I took a shot of an actor against greenscreen, keyed to black, then added the Chromenator effect and used a jpeg of a chrome metal background as the reflection layer - it gave quite a good effect, although whether or not it will be good enough is for you to judge!
thank you so much! I appreciate the effort put in by everyone In this forum. anything will do
Perfect! Thank you so much again!
A Chrome reflection map looks good, but maybe a map of the surrounding area?
Yes, of course, it should be just that.
This was just a "quick and dirty" test this morning.
I might get to spend more time on it later - unless someone else does it first!!!
@Triem23 @RobinDaviesRollinson Hey I am back on this discussion, my very first disscussion ever made. I am just getting back to using the surrounding areas as the map for the liquid metal terminator effect, but I notcied it looks a bit to much like invisibility, could anyone suggest any ways to reflect the background but still look liquid metal?
As always, all (kind) comments are appreciated and also any suggestions.
