DVD authoring software
Hi All,
I've always used Adobe but no longer have access to the software, I'm thinking of moving to HF3 as it seems to do most of what I want.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what DVD authoring sortware to use, I need something that will allow me to make a DVD complete with multiple menus. I used Adobe Encore before but as I said no longer an option.
Thanks Dave

Are you PC or Mac? If PC, I have had good success with Sony's DVD architect. Also, you can still find copies of Adobe Encore CS6 (the final iwn-not-rent version) for sale--so you could stick with the software you know. DVD and Blu-ray encoding is mature tech, so there shouldn't be any issues with the 2-year-old version of Encore.

PC, I was using CS5.5 but was acually 5.1 for Encore. I'll look into sony and see if 1 can find Encore CS6 for sale somewhere.
Thanks.

Yeah, as I thought. Encore is not avaliable to buy on it's own. Looks like you have to get Premier Pro and then Encore comes as a free download, but at well over £700 i don't think thats an option.
I'll try the trial of Sony DVDA.

Also had good experiences with the dvd architect here.

I've had good success with Nero 10. There's a host of products included in the suite version i.e. copying discs, recoding formats, audio editing/processing to add effects or EQ and so forth. I think they're on Nero 12 now. The whole suite isn't overly priced for all the features you get. If you get just the burning ROM it's cheaper but the suite really IS worth the price. It does just about anything Sony's software can. I have DVDA because it came with Vegas but there's a little more of a learning curve than with Nero (that's just my opinion- could be different for you).

Any Video Convertor is a free powerful tool that works faithfully for me. I've been using it to do all my converting and dvd burning for my Hitfilm projects, and have highquality results everytime.

Sony DVD Architect--if you're on a PC--it's the best without having to sell you first-born to burn DVDs.

Is there anything comparable to DVD Architect for Mac users?

@Bryytat In the old days, the answer would've been "Apple DVD Studio Pro" (I still keep an old mac around to run it) but they've discontinued that product and moved much of it's functionality--albeit in an automated sense--to Compressor which can be had for $50.00 on the Mac App Store. At last update, the current version only works with OS X Mavericks or higher and I don't know if there is any facility within it for the manual creation of DVD menus.
Hope this helps

I have tried Cisdem DVD Burner and I hope this one is the best one. You can also try it.
