Keying out sky issue
Hi I am trying to create an image using a photo I took at the weekend. I wanted to replace the sky. So I used the Hue and RGB key and got it to work OK, however as you can see in my screen grab the existing reflections on the castle inner walls have been keyed an the sky is also showing the colour of the sky.
Ideas? I think it has something to do with boosting the contrast or such and then keying?
Thanks

Duplicate the layer and mask around the castle walls?

@Stargazer54 yep knew that was an option, though thought there was something else you could do.

Andy, there are other possibilities, but all involve taking the image into a Comp, messing around with effects to isolate the spill, then bringing the Comp in as a set matte source.
Since it's a still photo, just masking out the sky or duping the layer and masking in the spill is your easiest, fastest option. If this were video with movement it would be worth discussing if other options, but in this case, just mask it.

I'll go a masking then.

Figured it all out.
- Key the original image
- Take a copy of the original image and place above in stack.
- Add masks to areas you want to be shown as original (Feather as required)
- Job done

... or duping the layer and masking in the spill...
