Javert & Tom
Hey all, I'm sad to inform you that @JavertValbarr and myself are no longer a part of FXhome by Artlist.
We've loved bringing you tutorials, content, and being a part of this awesome community for our years on the team! We'll still be here on the Forum, Discord, and active on our own social platforms should anyone want to see what we're up to and creating:

Ok. May your future adventures bring you satisfaction.
@JavertValbarr You too, man.
-
This...this is precisely what I intimated as my fears when the acquisition was announced in the Moderator Zoom meeting lo many months now. π
-
I wish you both all the best in the future. If you need anything, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
-
Well wish you both well, unfortunately this rather confirms my worst fears, the VFx side of fxhome is being put aside for the editing.

"Opportunities and life reset daily."
Wishing you both the best in this life reset. π

That's a pity. He made awesome stuff. Wish you both all the best!
-
May God bless you in your new adventures.
-
Best of luck both of you.
Agree with @Andy001z that this is definitely confirming worst fears. And there's been nothing at all from FXhome itself about this or any of the other concerns. A real shame
-
It is very self-evident why people are leaving. I get that others want to do their own thing I respect that. But this is just going to be the beginning and the downfall of hitfilm. What a shame. Tom and Javier were really cool people!
-
You will both be sorely missed. Each one of you have taught me so much about content creation. Thank you!

@TomCowles and @JavertValbarr, Best of luck guys, its been grate having you both.
Unfortunately, this does (as mentioned by others in this thread), confirm the "sinking ship", or "back burner" fears that have been voiced of the long standing and more active forum users.
LSS, I trusted Josh the old FxHome staff to try to do their best to serve the company and community (I know it didnt always go well, but they MEANT to), the same can not be said for artlist (at least as far as I can see). the fact that we hardly ever hear from the old team on the forum doesn't help.
Dang, has it really been eight years? writing this makes me feel old, even though I'm even younger than Javert.
-
@TomCowles @JavertValbarr I am certainly saddened beyond words to hear you fellows are leaving. We can only guess what all this means for the HF product that we all use and love, but I wish you both the best of luck in your future endeavors. Please stay in touch.
Remember . . . . the best revenge, is to live well. Peace. π

While this is a real shame, the only surprise to me is that they held on for so long.
-
As soon as I saw those 9:16 videos, the handwriting was on the wall. When they said that Ignite will not longer be supported (in spite of saying that there will be new exciting things happening with it), I knew the end was a matter of time.
With over a year to do something, anything, there was nothing.
To all those that worked so hard building up the community and FXHome, much success to you in your future employment. All of you are the best!
How I wish Vegas could have acquired them....
-
I find it incredibly unfortunate, but also understandable. Hitfilm today is no longer Hitfilm from .... 2 years ago .
But I miss it.... a lot ... , along with many others I think, I learned a lot here thanks to you guy's
But sometimes you have to move on to evolve, cut the umbilical cord and look for a new challenge where you are respected for the talent you both have.
I'm going to keep following you, andwe're definitely going to hear from you, I'm sure. You are both top notch!!!
