Skipping the Home screen

I used to not mind the home screen so much as sometimes I would see something that interested me or get a little bit of news, but now it's largely pointless and just displays some artsy fartsy crap. So since I'm kind of dumb and didn't think to do this sooner I just created a blank template with one composite shot and pinned it so I can right click on my windows task bar and select that instead. I'm not sure how it would work on Apple but surely you can create a template project and put a link to it somewhere. I feel like it loads up a little faster this way too, but that might just be my perception. Anyway, just a thought.

Not only that, but you should consider creating multiple "Starter Templates." I have one for 4K, 1080 HD, Vertical Videos, Instagram Square, and more. Also, think about creating different starting Workspace layouts as well. For example, I have a starting layout for Editing vs Compositing vs 3D Model work, etc.... Lastly, I have whole templates that I start out of. If I am creating a Space Scene, I have a Space scene starting template. I have a "model stage" setup ready to go to look at new downloaded models. Obviously, I have a HitFilm Tutorial Template with all of my standard tutorial making assets as well.
BTW, they all skip the home screen! π

I still use the same folder of starting templates I created back in Hitfilm Ultimate 2!

Although I have created a few new ones over the years.
