HitFilm Freezes and Crashes after I move a clip on timeline
Hello everyone,
When I first import my clips, I can scrub through them without issues. As soon as I move them to any other position on the timeline and try to play, the viewer freezes but the audio continues to play and there is a blue line scrolling across the bottom of the viewer. As soon as I stop playback, this is when Hitfilm locks up entirely and has to be force quit. I moved over to Hitfilm (free) from Hitfilm Express because it was doing the same thing in express. So the issue seems to have followed me to the new verison.
The following video shows the above in action.
I’ve been using Hitfilm since 2019 without issue. Now all of a sudden I’m stuck saving and restarting after every move I make just to hit my deadlines.
Specs:
CPU - Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8700K CPU @ 3.70GHz (12 CPUs), ~3.7GHz
Total RAM – 16GB
GPU - AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT (Driver Version 22.20.29.10-221130a-386458C-AMD-Software-Adrenalin-Edition)
Operating System and version – Win 10 Pro, version 22H2, Build 19045.2364
HitFilm version – HitFilm 2022.4(20.0.1.0) Free license (newcomer from express)
Any help is appreciated. Please let me know if anyone needs more info.

Revert your AMD Adrenaline to 2022.5.2. Later versions are known to be buggy with Hitfilm. FXhome and AMD are working on a fix.
I think reverting that driver will take care of your issue.

I'll give it a try and report back! Thanks!

Welp, that did it. Thank you so much!
I tried going back a few driver versions but would have never thought to go all the way back to 2022.5.2.
