[FEATURE] Adding Colors to the timeline
Say for example, You want a track for text, one for music, sound effects etc...
It would make it a little easier to see which track on the timeline has effects or music or text, pics etc...
I see this as a way to "Speed up workflow"
Below are 2 attached images that will hopefully help you understand what I am talking about.
My personal suggestion (You can just ignore this if you like) is to either make it so it automatically has 2 default colors on the timeline, and if you want to color more tracks, just simply right click then pick your color or select a little color circle or square with all the colors. (Basically like how you can color the tracks in a composite shot)

To clarify you're looking for a way to color a TRACK on the Editor - the entire track, not individual clips? Or are you asking for the color labels for different media types to appear on individual clips in the Editor Tracks?

Yes, the entire track. Sure, we could just color the clips and what not and that would do just as well, But this is just a thought I had as I was setting up to edit another video which I think could be "helpful" in a way...
Since I have no idea what you meant by that second question, you may have to dumb it down for me, thanks!
