Possible bug - certain Imported images being turned into Image Sequences

Hello

Why is my HitFilm (2022.2 - v19.1.2.0) converting individual images that I import into image sequences?!

The only way to stop this from happening seems to be to RENAME the image in Windows.

This might be a possibility. When you import a still and that still has a file name the same as other images but with consecutive numbers being the difference, Hitfilm will prompt if you want to import an image sequence. If at one time you answered yes to this, and clicked the do not ask me again option, then Hitfilm will always import stills as a sequence when the still has a file name consecutive with other stills in the same folder.

    UPDATE:

OK I see what HitFilm is doing. It is automatically assuming each image is part of an image sequence IF I am using a naming convention that LOOKS like it is part of an image sequence.

e.g. if I have file names like:

    table01.jpg

    table02.jpg

    table03.jpg

    table04.jpg

Then HitFilm will convert table02.jpg into a sequence.

And the ONLY way to stop it is to rename the image to break the sequence.

    e.g. Something like this:

    table01z.jpg

    table02y.jpg

    table03x.jpg

    table04w.jpg

Presumably this is deliberate but personally I find this deeply irritating.

Not true. Just import the image not as a sequence, as per my previous post this thread.
