[ENHANCMENT] Arrange by / Sort by Shot date
I switched from Premiere to Hitfilm recently, and there is one small thing that is enormously frustrating with Hitfilm that I think could should be updated - The ability to sort your footage by date (shot date, modified date, created date).
I often use some iPhone B roll footage for example, and these files have random letters in their filename, so you can't sort it by name. This mak0es it an headache to match up with footage from the other camera for example, or if you want to a video solely using iPhone.
Please implement a arrange by/sort by DATE function!

I'm voting this up not just for this one item but for better media management in general.

Agreed, I also think there's a few other media management issues that can be improved in addition to the sort function. On top of my head I can think of a thumbnail scaling slider, columns in list mode showing clip length, fps, date etc. and the ability to add custom, (sortable columns) like you can in Premiere.

No idea when it'll roll out, but, on a FilmSensei livestream Josh did say the media bin is coming up on a major overhaul. 👍 This request will be fulfilled eventually.

Really happy to hear that! I hope they also can fix the latest update to hitfilm, It has become unusable - slow and crashing :( I have faith in these guys do, hopefully a patch will come soon, and new media bin would be a blessing!
