HitFilm Express breaks monthly, any suggestions?
I'm having a real issue with the software breaking almost monthly for seemingly random reasons. I always get the below.
Sometimes it just starts working again or it's a cache/ graphics driver / windows update / Hitfilm update/ storage - maybe the wind blew in the wrong direction? I don't know! Issue
I absolutely love the interface and ease of use, I've brought quite few of the add-on's too. I even considered paying for the Pro version at one point. I just don't feel confident enough in it actually working consistantly, to happily spend £300 on it now.
I have an MSI GP63 Leopard 8RE, Nvidia 1060 graphics card, 64 bit operating system, processor is Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8750H CPU @ 2.20GHz 2.20 GHz and I have 16GB of RAM.
Does anyone have any ideas for actions I can take to make it consistantly work? I'm not ready to give up on it because I really enjoy it - when it works.

Make sure there isn't any windows issues first.

How long has this been going on? Just with the most recent version, or for a few versions now?

Make sure your drivers are updated, especially GPU. M$ has a nasty habit of downgrading your GPU during Windows updates.
