Doc Ock Tentacles 3D Model for Blender?

I would LOVE it to be free, but the only free one I could find was for Maya

@Georgefilm Drop a link to the Maya one and I'll see if I can bring it into Blender somehow... not that I am some kind of Blender guru, mind you, just tenacious as a Bulldog😁 That's my new rapper name Tenacious TD

Your mission. If you choose to except it Agent Tenacious TD 🕶,

Thank you so much!

Got it.

@Georgefilm @tddavis I hope I'm wrong and Terry finds a way, but MA models are a closed format, and Blender can't import those directly. The only programs I know of that can do the conversion are paid/commercial.
You might want to ask on some Maya forums if anyone is willing to save of of Maya in a different format. Maya can export OBJ and FBX which Blender can read. FBX should be able to preserve the existing rigging.

This is a full scene, but Sketchfab.com outputs GITF which could be taken into Blender. You'd just have to delete most of the scene and cut the tentacles off Otto. It's free.

This guy could be sliced apart for his tentacles.

@Georgefilm sure thing! 👍 And, as you see, may have other options, too!

@Georgefilm Played around trying my hand at rigging a bit, (Set up one with Auto IK and duplicated) and finally managed to figure out the binding. There is some deforming at certain angles, so next up is weight painting the influence. Also, trying to think of how you could get them grow longer as needed... No good clue there yet.

Nice! To make it go longer, Increase one of the Scale values (y,x,z), or press "g" while selecting a bone and move it!
-
@Georgefilm Oh, I meant when animating making them shoot out longer like he could in the movie.

You could keyframe the scale of a bond on the armature I meant, sorry for the cunfusion!
I keyframe like that for Ant-man type things, but just extending an arm with that principle could work out great!
