Looking for a 3D model of a light freighter spaceship (that is not the Millennium Falcon)

I am looking for a 3D model of a light freighter spaceship (that is not the Millennium Falcon) for a Star Wars fan film that I am working on. Does anyone have any ideas for me?

Textures would have to be tweaked a bit but it wouldn't be the first time the Valley Forge turned up in a different franchise...
-
@Triem23 I'm going to snag that Valley Forge. I just made a comment on a video stream about that movie. 😃
-
@tddavis yeah, I have two other models of Valley Forge from other sites (one as "BSG Agro Ship").
Annoyingly Foundation3D seems to be gone and scifi-meshes seems to have pulled everything but their forum. Both used to have a nice selection of non-canon Star Wars ships including a build of the "original" Falcon before that model was retooled into Tantive IV.
-
What about Scifi3D> Think I've used some of those models...

You need detail for closeup?
-
@Triem23 Ah, crap! Apparently, the modeler has deactivated the download link. It's telling me I don't have permission to download but I am signed in.😥
-
Only LEGO New Republic Ships
-
@tddavis are you sure? I just downloaded it myself. The model comes with a "Skybox" (big sphere with starfield texture wrap) and, for later use, I'll have to bounce it through Blender to remove it.
-
That's weird. I'll try here at home. That's 2 random files today I couldn't download at the daughter's.
Edit: I was able to download it using my phone and send it to my cloud from there. Do t know why the computer's balked on me today?? One from GoogleDrive and one from Sketchfab.

Jay,
Didn't Production Crate post a new ship a few weeks ago. Don't know if it is free, but it is if you have a paid sub.
-
Thanks everyone for your feedback.
@Triem23 I looked through the list you provided. I had already examined several of those, and I have downloaded and submitted a couple to the director. Some of them are not what we are looking for. We need a ship for the main protagonist who is a smuggler, much like Han Solo.
@GrayMotion It has been a long time since I've been to that site! Most of those models are in 3DS, MAX, or LWO, so I would have to go back to a version of Blender old enough to convert them. I will do some more exploring.
@DataDesign I have a pro membership to ProductionCrate, so I have all of their spaceship models. I have also submitted a couple of those to the director as well.

How about the Ebon Hawk?

-
Jay, do you have a budget for models? I'm sure we're all looking for the free ones, only.
-
@ellis_is_great I suggested the Ebon Hawk also, but the timeframe for the fan film is around 5-10 years ABY.
@Triem23 Yes, we do have a budget!
By the way, in the original script, the ship was an Allanar N3 Light Freighter. So that's the idea.
-
Budgets open it up a lot!
Here are some cool ships, that you can buy.

I'm just gonna assume this one is a no go, but I couldn't resist.
And now, the actual suggestions.
-
@Triem23 @ellis_is_great I hate to say it, but I think that all of those are too big. We are looking for a ship that is more Millenium Falcon size.
-
@FilmSensei I think the "Corellian Gunship" is the right aize. See, that model is built to look like the original Falcon before Lucas scrapped it for a redesign. Look at the front cone of the Gunship... It's the Falcon's cockpit module.
-
Wookiepedia lists it's overall length at 120 meters but the Falcon lists at just a tad under 35 meters for comparison.
-
I think this one looks about the size of the Falcon.
-
@ellis_is_great That's a pretty nice model. I ran a another Corellian YT model that I found by the director and he liked it, so I am currently working with it to see if I can get it to a high enough quality. I will keep you posted!
-
Oh Great One - if you need any help at all (like you need it) I'd be glad to lend my less than expertise
assistancetips. Question if I may - Are you going to work with the model directly in Hitfilm or are you going to use Franks Filmer tricks with multi-passes overlaid over the base model? -
@GrayMotion I will be using HitFilm alone to work these models. I have never been able to fully understand Frank's multi-pass Filmer tricks.
-
After two years of you being a Beta tester of Filmer/Blender for me... all you've ever had to do is ask 😀
Ask Greg dude...
We always end up with some cool looking stuff and come up with awesome ideas. I love teaching... but not with so many words. 😀

Thanks @spydurhank.

It would definitely be a plus to take up Frank’s offer J. You can get some spectacular results and of course it would help Frank’s endeavors if a VFX God like yourself could shine more light on the Greatest Project on the planet 👍
