I have a canon rebel T7 and currently HitFilm 14. I was curious if anyone knew if Raw photos can be processed on hitfilm and imerge. [email protected]

Thank you @Triem23 - I suppose I'll download it again. I'm more so disappointed that I missed the sale. I was out of town and completely forgot. I really hope we get another promo soon ^_^

Imerge can absolutely process RAW files. I'm not 100% certain about Canon Rebel T7 files. Every sensor has its own RAW data and there are different containers for that RAW data. I know Imerge loads Canon CR2 files. I don't know CR3 as I don't have any of those.

Hitfilm Pro does not load RAW images, but RAW images can be saved out of Imerge as 32-bit EXR images (a 32-bit EXR more than preserves all the data from a 14-bit Canon RAW). Hitfilm Pro does a great job with 32-bit EXR or HDR images.

I see, I attempted to use CR2 file and the image turned purple. I recall someone explaining that It couldn't be read. At that time and currently I'm running on Hitfilm 14. @Triem23

Imerge SHOULD read CR2. I know there was a Glitch in Imerge 5, discussed here.

Otherwise, as I said, every single sensor has its own RAW profile. CR2 files from my 5dMkIV work. It's possible the T7 is on a sensor not yet supported, but that's really a question for FXhome Support. Unfortunately all I can say is my files are importing.
