I did like three double-takes watching this
@FilmSensei Honesty, I'm surprised you've not been on the FXHOME channel before!
Gotta say... the four winners (and a few of the honorable mentions as well) ALL deserved to win! Great stuff!
First of all, congratulations to the winners! Amazing stuff and well deserved ! 👍️
I got a honorable mention and I was genuinely honored !!! .... And @TomCowles ... @TomCowles That guy on Instagram for the endless horizon back then was me 😅 ... because of tonight, I'm pumped up to finally make that tutorial.... after I'm finished moving.
And then, here' s my entry and my YouTube channel:
Cheers, fellow HitFilmers!
Congratulations to all the winners!!! I'm sooo happy with my honourable mention as this was my very first submission to a FXHome contest. Mine was the one with the virtual set featuring the banana dude speaking both bad and fast English :D
I'm a telecommunications engineer who is currently producing videos for my upcoming YouTube channel. I'll be doing videos of science popularization and non-formal education. The idea is to use 3D models and virtual sets to help understand some complex topics and make the learning experience much more satisfying.
I'm currently recording the first eight videos, so I can publish them later on a weekly basis without needing to hurry that much. That's why you couldn't find the YouTube channel, as all the videos which are currently uploaded are scheduled to launch next month and because of that aren't public yet.
I'm from Spain (I'm not French @JavertValbarr :D but you almost got it!!). I'm so glad all three of you liked the video, that makes me really, really happy. @TomCowles 's face at the end of the video was priceless (I'm looking forward to that "In Hitfilm" phrase in any of your upcoming tutorials, Tom :D). I'm also so proud of @KirstieT words :)
The sequence itself is part of the opening sequence of my first YouTube video which will go live on April 16th, which will explain things about the Enigma Machine. The video will have English subtitles, here's the first minute or so, also with English subtitles:
And here is the contest submission:
Hope you like it!
Here is the link to my channel, just in case you want to subscribe! I'm planning on doing a tutorial of the virtual set of the opening scene, soooo stay tuned:
A lot of talent out there! Congrats to all the entrants. Really interesting to see how everyone approached the assignment differently.
@KirstieT @JavertValbarr @TomCowles I really enjoyed the livestream and seeing all the great entries!
Congratulations also to the other winners and all the great honorable mentions as well! I was the third runner up with the virtual set where I was not actually walking :-)
My youtube channel is Loovid Films ( https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC5eiCivSfUks2esVgvy0H-A/videos )
Wow there's so much great content here, I wish I had time to watch it all!
@FilmSensei I'd love to still see tutorials on your channel of how you did those effects, I myself was thinking about the shrinking door effect not long ago!
@TheBenNorris I would be delighted to! 😁
@LukasAndersen When I watched your tutorial trailer, it was like those "I need this!!!!!" tutorials , see?
You tackled what I think is one of those major challenges when you do green screen in smaller rooms, well it is for me 😋
So, I subscribed to your channel for if.... , one never knows, no pressure, right ... ? 😅
Anyway, your tutorial idea is amazing, a lot of great work in in the trailer there! 👍️
@RikVargard Thank you very much!
