HitFilm Mocha viewer looks really corrupted
So when I load a video into Mocha, the video looks negative and some of the colors looked really messed up, I have a screenshot to show what it looks like
I am so confused how i pulled this off

I doubt anyone can help you until you provide your full system specs and the same for the footage you're using.
-
I tried multiple videos, does the same thing, as for specs I have 4 gb ram and an intel core i5-8265U , intel uhd graphics 620.
and another thing, mocha did work properly on the laptop before but now i don't know why the colors are all messed up
-
Well, that covers your system specs, but now we need to know things about the file you're trying to import. You'll need to download MediaInfo (free), generate a Tree report and post it here.
Probably worth checking your GPU drivers as well.

already got mediainfo, I tried different kinds, I first used iPhone screen recordings, then camera recordings on the phone, so i don't think it is the video itself, rather it is something else.
-
some other things I have done are uninstalled and re-installed mocha, repaired hitfilm altogether, check the integrity of files on my computer, none of that worked.
-
You didn't say you checked/updated GPU drivers.
Your hardware is basically barely over minimum spec for both Hitfilm and Mocha. Older drivers for your GPU ARE under spec for Mocha.
-
When I went to check for updates, it said i had an update for my graphics but i already had that version to begin with
-
another note i should make about this whole thing, I did remember using an hdmi cable on my laptop
i don't know if that was the cause
-
Problem is still there, what else do you need to maybe fix this?
-
Did you actually try transcoding all your files to constant frame rate? Your computer specs are frankly pretty awful for Hitfilm 16 and I wouldn't be surprised if you continue to have issues with it. Hitfilm truly does require a fairly competent machine (i.e. not yours) for advanced features like planar tracking (mocha).
-
When it did work it actually went through pretty well! Yes I did use constant frame rate and it still looks glitchy
-
It's not surprising as your hardware is frankly pretty lousy for use with HF.
-
Hi, did you find a solution for this as I'm having the same problems and my pc is way above minimum specs? It's really annoying and I'm beginning to wonder if it's a bug of some sort.
-
I have this same issue. Any updates on a solution?

@mrmurtel @colineccher Honestly, this is a user-based forum (including Mods and Ambassadors, who aren't FXhome Staff, but volunteers).
If it isn't happening to someone on the forum who hasn't figured out a solution, then there's nothing more we can add other than what's already been said in this thread - make sure your GPU drivers are current, and that your footage is properly transcoded into a CFR format that will play nice with Hitfilm.
You can try contacting FXhome support:
But FXhome support themselves are limited on what they can do. The issue is happening inside Mocha itself, and Mocha is a third party product coded by the Imagineer team at BorisFX. Any changes made to the Mocha code are coming from Boris, not FXhome. You'll need to contact them.
