What I would do for the gun posing is look for images for realistic references.

Also, take into account what you want the eyes to perceive first.

In the last image, for example, what stood out to me before I even noticed two individuals pointing guns at each other were the cars. They're just too imposing and are the first thing the eye pick up. The main reason is that they're huge and center framed, which says something, since humans tend to first notice faces or a person's eyes first in an image before what's behind them. But yeah.
