Remove Black Bars for Ipad Video

Hi, is there a way for me to remove black bars from hitfilm because the footage I use is from my iPad. Can i know if there is a way for me to stretch the video so that it completely removes the black bars?

    I’m guessing it’s an iPad screen recording? You can scale up the video so that it fits a standard 16:9 aspect ratio. This will crop part of the recording, but it will fill a standard video space.

    Alternatively, you can find the Resolution of your recorded video and insert it into the Project Settings (File - Project Settings) in the Resolution section.
