Can the wireframe effect be applied to a GLTF model?

Hi there,

I'm editing a how-to video about how to light a 3D scene in Hitfilm (different tipes of lights and stuff), but I'm unable to add the 'Wireframe' effect to any of my models, both of them being GLTF files from Sketchfab. Is this effect supported for the GLTF format?

I usually add the wireframe effect to get that behind-the-scenes VFX breakdown look, so it can be easily seen what things in the scene are 3D models or matte and what aren't.

Thanks in advance.

Long live FXHome.

@laconstantedeplanck Yes you can, but only if you leave the GLTF models as 2D. You cannot add effects to a 3D Unrolled Object. If you do add the Wireframe Effect, the model will still retain its original colors. If you don't want that, then you can always add a Fill Color Effect and make the wireframe any color you like. Adding a Glow Effect can enhance the look of it as well.

By the way, leaving your models as 2D allows you to add other super important effects such as Light Wrap as well.
