Forum video playback problem.

Browsing through the FXhome community. I'm having problem with playback of videos posted directly to this forum. The ones that are linked to YouTube and Vimeo play fine but the ones that are actually uploaded here do not playback at all. Curser turns to a hand when moused over clip but nothing happens when I click. Right click gives no useful menu options.
Running windows 10. Rebooted computer. Same results on both Edge and Chrome browsers. Anybody else have this issue or any suggestions to fix?

I just tried it on my iPad, iPhone and Android phone with same results.
I'm in the Show Off category.
Is this forum having problems?
-
Well I'll be. You are correct. There seems to be a video playback issue that just popped up today? But not all of them.??? Interesting.

@philipwesson might be something to look into?
Anyone happen to have some links to threads with problematic videos? I myself have been unable to get any embedded YouTube videos to play.
Edit: I edited the post title to better reflect that this is an issue with the forum.

@TheBenNorris @Phil@philipwesson
FWIW @GrayMotion commented in another thread he thinks YouTube has temp-disabled external website playback. If he's correct, then it's NOT a Vanilla issue. Worth a look at other sites with embedded videos?

@Triem23 I have no issue playing YouTube videos elsewhere.
Here is another thread with a video like the one mentioned above https://community.fxhome.com/discussion/55375/glowing-lights#latest

Yep stopped working last night

@philipwesson not just video links that arn't playing it seems to be any embedded link.

Hi all,
Thanks for flagging this. Give me a few to investigate
-
My video link does not work here nore does the link to the SketchFab model.
This link aint working either. Jan 16th seems to be the cut off in my show off link list. Before that they seem to work.

Funny thing. If you go to older post like this one the embed works fine????

Hi all,
I spoke to the forum devs, and they did indeed push an update to the platform. They're aware of the issue and are now fixing it.
-
Thanks for the update, Phil. I would have bet money Youtube had broken something again. They seem to excel at that where Hitfilm is concerned😀
-
It looks like it's fixed! Thanks @philipwesson. 😀

@philipwesson looks fixed to me, Ill close this thread.
