EGPU for Hitfilm in 2021
I have a MacBook Pro with thunderbolt 3 support and I'm thinking of getting an EGPU. While looking at previous discussions I've found that AMD GPUs are not optimised for Hitfilm. I can't use a Nvidia GPU as they simply don't work with MacBooks.
I was wondering if I was to get AMD EGPU would I notice a significant performance change.

@treerite EGPU's themselves are not officially supported in HF IIRC, since we do not test them ourselves, and as such cannot guarantee they will work correctly.

@treerite while Hitfilm isn't specifically tested with eGPUs, we have had users in the past who have seen improvement. Others, not so much. Obviously these are older threads, but here are some of the prior threads on the topic to scan. May be useful for you.
