Rubik's cube created and animated in HitFilm
I have created a Rubik's cube in Hitfilm (could be done in HitFilm Express without any add-on) in a way that I can place any picture, video or even composite shot on each of the faces and then scramble them (or start with a scrambled cube and solve it).
I have then created this small film where I use this animated cube.

Nice! I'd like to see your rig!

Cool!

@Deekaybe Wow! I have absolutely no idea how you did that! Well done!
-
@tddavis I can think of a couple of ways, but they're ugly and brute force. That's why I'd like to see the rig.

One way I'm thinking is to set up 3d planes....I did this technique in after effects to make a "3d" stone henge. But this would be hard to do since HF doesn't have sufficient anchor point tools or snapping

He has some tutorials on it on his channel!

Wow I was right!!! Dang thats not easy to do in HF its a huge pain. But its definitely doable

@Anhoeng Nice spot! I'll be watching those. Although a six-parter taking well over an hour makes me think it'll end up being similar to how I'd approach this. I do enjoy tutorials.

Very nice!
