"Brad Mitt."
groan
Nice work, as always. I just enjoy your style.
-
That's amazing! "Brad Mitt" Puppeteer work is great!
-
Thank you all for the kind words! Hope to have something a bit longer to offer soon.
-
Another 10 sec. vid starring Brad Mitt as Shooting Star.
I'm pretty happy with the 3D interior of the saucer. Will use that trick again.
-
Another puppet sci-fi film. Used De-rez + glow for X-ray effect...
-
These are great!
-
Ah, I missing "Shooting Star to the Rescue" first time around. Love the X-ray gag.
Generally, I just dig your entire aesthetic and style.
-
@ScottyBros & @Triem23 Thanks for the kind words!
-
A pair of 10s shorts.
and...
-
@DavidLamarre Those are great!
-
Thanks @FilmSensei!
-
Haha nice! I wish I could watch the karate fight! 😅
-
Wow how I missed you thread I don't know, but these are great. The finished look is so polished. These good be part of Kids TV for sure. Your particle puppets and the 3d scenes are just seamless. Nice job.
-
Thank you @RikVargard and @Andy001z !
-
Finally shot and edited a longer video and I'm posting it here to gather feedback. Don't hold back, this is a WIP. Shot in French but I included English subtitles.
-
@DavidLamarre I love it!
-
Thank you @FilmSensei !
-
Love all the sock references. "It's hotter than a dryer in here!!" Haha
-
Yep. Love all the sock references as it helps create 'sock world' .
Love the design of everything (ships, sets and characters). Not sure if it was deliberate but liked how the Captain's head moved to the music at 02:47. The music is the only thing I would revisit. During the chase scene it stays at the same beat and tempo which made the chase feel a little slow. (??)
-
@Andy001z thank you very much.
@DafterThings thank you for your observation. Yes, the captain dancing was intentional. As I work alone, I record the dialog, music and SFX first and do the puppetry afterwards (1 puppet at a time) while playing the soundtrack. I couldnt stop myself from moving to the beat and decided to keep it in.
As for the music tempo, I get what you're saying. Listening to it again, it certainly has more of a cruising speed kind of beat. I'll try to spice things up a bit but the thing is, I shot and edited everything to the music so I'm kinda screwed here LOL
-
Yeah it's tricky for one-man bands.
I tend to record the dialog, animate and then add SFX and music in post. It does mean I don't tend to animate to the music (which is a shame) but I do have Filmstro which really helps out here.
BTW : As the dancing Captain is intentional then I'll take my hat off to you. It works so well for me.

Hey guys!
Here's my October 10sec video. Pretty happy with how it turned out!
Compositing & masking in Hitfilm. Used @FilmSensei tracking mask to a point trick for the jaws -> https://youtu.be/QbSzjumrMtc
Can't wait to see all your vids in the supercut!
-
@DavidLamarre Great! Made me chuckle for sure.
-
@Stargazer54 Glad you liked it!
-
Hahaha ha! Happy Halloween!
-
Thanks @Triem23!
-
Hi!
Here's a 10 sec spoof ad for a flying saucer.
Used Particle generator for the asteroid field.
Grading transfer for the Lightspeed shot.
Lots of compositing and masking. Even the logo is a simple two part mask.
Hope you like it!

Here's my latest one: a boxing short that I will certainly stretch to short film length in the coming weeks.
Happy and safe holidays everyone!
