roto with mocha

I am trying to create this effect is HFP 15. I've added the mocha effect and created a mask but I am having trouble figuring out how to get that track into hitfilm and what to do in hitfilm to selectively hide the text. Every tutorial video I've seen so far just glosses over that part please help. Thanks

Well, one problem is you've linked an After Effects Rotobrush tutorial into a thread where you're talking about roto in Mocha.
The two tools and workflows are completely different things and do not intersect.
