adding images to a sequence
Hi, I have just got Hitfilm Express due to the demise of windows movie maker.
I am wanting to make a film made up of family photos and videos where it would be a continuous mixture of still images (Jpegs and HEIC files), title cards/text and videos with a soundtrack running in the background, very basic stuff.
I am struggling to add images in between videos, they seem to try and run as a sequence and I am also struggling to find how to edit the duration the photos are displayed .
I am hoping this program can do things as simple as this, I am not looking to do anything really fancy.
Any help/advice would be appreciated, thanks.

Yes, HitFilm can do this. I did this exact thing for my mother in laws funeral
Is this more or less what you are trying to do?

Go to the File Menu and select Options. General Tab. Plane/Image Default length. This is in absolute frames, so you need to some math first. If you want 5 seconds at 24 fps, 120 frames, 150 frames at 30fps, etc. Figure out how long you want your pics on screen, enter that value and, when you add em, that's how long they'll be.

@cobblepot2010 When you import images make sure you import as Media not as a Sequence if you want individual images in the Media bin. Also be careful when selecting more than one image to import at a time, you might get another pop up asking to confirm if you want individual images or as a sequence (thus they wind up in one instance in the media panel as a group).

Hi, that’s great work and exactly what I am trying to do with a couple of short videos also added in. If you can tell me how you did this it would be really appreciated! Thanks
