How do you Edit the Duration of a Cross Dissolve?
Hi. New User here HitFilm Pro 15 coming over from Adobe Premiere - I've read the manual on this and tried every editing tool available but cannot seem to do it. How do I change the duration of a Cross Dissolve? I'm sure this is something very simple I am just not seeing.
Thanks

@cmralph To edit the cross dissolve enlarge the scale of the timeline by dragging the magnification tool to the right. I have posted the pictures of how it looks in on the software. [I have also posted a video showing the process] Move the cursor towards one edge of the cross dissolve effect. Drag to the left/right to lengthen based on the side you have chosen or left/right to shorten the duration. I hope this has helped you. Pictures and video below.
PS. It works with all effects.

@cmralph BTW, you can also change the timing on either side of the dissolve by holding down Shift and grabbing one end of the dissolve effect to make it longer on just one clip.

Terrific! Thanks so much!

@cmralph I believe you just drag the box that indicates the transition, that straddles the two clips, left or right to adjust its length. It's been a while since I did this, so I'm not 100% on that.

@misra15 Thank you for that. I went off to make one and found you had already done it. Good job!
