Masking Problem

So I noticed this a little while back, but just assumed there was another way to achieve it but now I'm not so sure. I think prior to the overhaul of masking with all the shapes and what not I used to be able to create a square mask. Then I could hold ctrl+shift and I would be able to extend one side without affecting the others. This was tremendously useful when it came to creating things like a gauge that was filling or depleting. Now this seems to be impossible, they changes the hot keys but I think removed the ability to do this. Am I wrong, please tell me I'm wrong.

You can still do it but you can't grab a middle vertex handle, you have to do it with a corner handle.
I just tested it to be certain.
Holding CTRL+SHIFT and dragging a CORNER handle moves only that one side depending how you drag.

@EvilDaystar It does technically but you cant maintain the size

There are a few work arounds, the one I settled on being the easiest was just creating a video for the gauge so I can extend without worrying about it extending both directions because only one would be visible. But this was a useful masking feature, can we get it back? @TheBenNorris

@Dimipapa I don't think that you could ever just adjust one side without the others. I recommend putting a thread about this in the feature requests section, as I agree it could and would be a useful addition.

@TheBenNorris OK so here is a project file that was originally saved in march 2019, I cut everything except for the gauge graphic and resaved it. It still works because technically you can still do this if your hand had robotic precision. But I'm 100% sure you were able to do what I described, I'm not positive the hotkeys where to hold ctrl and shift but I'm pretty sure they were.

@Dimipapa I'll look into it, and I could be wrong, but I've checked with the other developers that handled this area of the software and they also confirm this was not a feature. Like I said, this is at the very most not a bug, and an intentional change if it did used to be a feature, so I recommend making a feature request for it nonetheless.

@TheBenNorris I also remember having the ability to adjust one side only. So I went back to HitFilm Version 12 and gave it a shot, and it does do that as I remembered. Take a look at this quick video...
This is no longer available, but it would be nice to have back!

@FilmSensei @Dimipapa well what do you know, it seems I was wrong. Serves me right for not checking myself! I'm going to raise it as a bug immediately.

@FilmSensei With an elbow drop from the top turnbuckle.

@TheBenNorris Thanks Ben... you guys are the best! 😀
